The authorities of a Swedish school accused an 8-year-old boy of violating the rights of other children, because he didn't invite two classmates to his birthday party – the BBC website announced on Sunday. One of the pupils of an elementary school in Lund in southern Sweden decided to hand out invitations to his birthday during school activities. Once the teacher noticed, that two boys were left out, confiscated all invitations. The institution's authorities are arguing, that it is their duty to take care of it, that no one is discriminated against, when invitations are distributed on school grounds. On the other hand, the father of the 8-year-old informed about the incident of the civil rights ombudsman. As he explained, his son did not invite two children to the party, because one of them hadn't invited him to their birthday before, but he had an argument with the other.
