Then it turned out, that he is much older. According to archaeologist Espen Finstad, but ten, made of one piece of tanned leather, it is the oldest such product found in Norway. Its length is 25 cm, which according to the numbering used today means no 39.
This discovery put Norwegian archaeologists on alert. Gradual, but the clearly noticeable melting of Norwegian glaciers may bring another one, equally sensational discoveries. So they appealed to tourists and mountaineers, that they pay special attention to objects appearing on the surface of glaciers.
