Is it worth listening to the album Serj Tankian -Harakiri
Serj Tankian can translate, that his album Harakiri is a springboard from more serious works. Anyone who will listen to this, however, he knows that this springboard should be routine, because Serj does such cool compositions best.
Harakiri sounds a bit like a continuation of the 'mother' band Tankiana, I'm talking about System of a down, of course. There aren't too many experiments or orchestras here. It is simple and energetic, as it should be. Who knows Serja or that from his earlier solo albums, whether from System of a down, knows what to expect here. Sharp guitar riffs, original vocals and very good instrumentalists are something, which even fills this album. Only in the middle of the album Serj softens a little, but very gently yes, in order not to spoil the rock idea of the whole material.
Regardless of whether we jump at a concert, or are we listening at home - Serj has a lot to convey in his lyrics. This time, the texts refer to the subject of the self-destruction of some animals. There are also texts on politics and social life. As always, everything is fairly strong, critical words.
All the material looks great. It is definitely worth reaching for, and when the opportunity arises, also listen to it live.
