This is one of the many very short ones, just two-line, the epigrams of Jan Kochanowski. In such compacts, in fact, extremely difficult to write, in his works, the poet was able to contain sometimes extensive content, numerous observations – primarily moral, but also e.g.. philosophical.
At Konrata it is perfectly constructed, laconic image of the title character. A huge glutton, who cannot eat according to court etiquette, attentions. The mocking comment on Konrat's behavior was included in a question from a person. Konrat is silent, does not engage in a social conversation, only, like a bully, he pushes into himself more and more new portions of food – Certainly tasty. Notice, how difficult it is to convey the content of the epic in so few words, as did Jan Kochanowski.
