He lost 1500 PLN, out of fear, he reported the theft to the police
Taxi driver from Czeladź (Silesian) he lost 1500 PLN on arcade machines. Wanting to hide it from my wife, reported to the police, that he was the victim of a robbery. Now he will be responsible for notifying of an unfulfilled crime and drunk driving, because it was in this state that he came to the police to report the alleged crime. About the case, which has unnecessarily engaged over 20 Będzin policemen, the press team of the Silesian police informed on Monday. On Sunday, the 33-year-old taxi driver notified the police station on duty, that two clients aged approx 25-30 years instructed him to get off the road, and then threatening with a knife, stole his money, ID card, driving license and vehicle documents. The taxi driver detailed the appearance and clothes of the attackers. According to his account, the perpetrators fled the crime scene on foot. – The policemen began penetrating the area, picked up a tracking dog from a neighboring unit, inspected the scene and the vehicle itself, counting on securing the traces enabling the identification of the perpetrators of the attack. At the same time, employees of the operational department started working on the case – said staff sergeant Tomasz Obarski from the press team of the Silesian police. Soon, the case handlers found out, that the taxi driver's account is not credible. The man was unable to answer specific questions, regarding the seizure.
After a few hours, the policemen already knew, that there was no robbery. Man – as it turned out – he was drinking alcohol in one of the bars, in the same place he lost approx 1500 PLN on arcade machines. During the inspection of his car, the police found a wallet of a 33-year-old with documents hidden under a pile of newspapers.. – Wanting to hide my loss from my wife, decided to report a fictitious robbery – says Obarski. Now the man will be responsible not only for the notification of an incomplete crime, but also for drunk driving. Turned out, that in order to report the alleged robbery he came to the police station drunk. Both of these crimes face him in prison for up to two years.
