According to the author, they depict an approximately 30-meter long snake flowing one of the rivers of the island. From the moment of publication, the photos have aroused great controversy. Skeptics believe, that they do not represent the mighty serpent, only the effect of photo manipulation with a computer. Lots of people notice, that the river in the photo has a different color, than it should have. Other theories spoke, that the photo shows the motorboat, or wood runoff. Local people believe in the authenticity of the photos, they believe they confirm the existence of the mysterious snake. According to the account, they themselves saw the enormous reptile many times. Pictures taken at two different locations on the river prove it, that the animal is moving. According to local legends, the mythical Nabau serpent measured over 30 meters, had the head of a dragon and 7 nostrils.
Except that, the animal was supposed to have the ability to change its shape beyond recognition. Unfortunately, there is no chance of seeing such details in controversial photos.
