Knight's School
Knight's School, which was founded in Warsaw 15 brand 1765 year, it was exactly called the Academy of the Noble Corps of His Majesty and the Republic of Poland. The founder of the Knight School was Stanisław August Poniatowski. It was the so-called state school, because it was financed by state funds. Its activity ended in 1794 year.
Tadeusz Kościuszko himself studied at the Knight's School, Jakub Jasinski, or Józef Sowiński. However, when it comes to the education system, it can be safely stated, that it concerned the education described by John Lind. Learning at the Knight's School was to last for 5 Years. The students learned not only the war strategy, but also the law and the constitution, as well as foreign languages. There were also practical classes there. The cadet was learning to ride, but also dance. So he had to be comprehensively educated.
The most famous teachers included, among others, Mikołaj Chopin, who was the father of Fryderyk Chopin. In the Knight's School he was responsible for teaching French. Each cadet had to wear a compulsory uniform. This costume was also used to distinguish weaker listeners and top students. Those who learned less wore white clothes, while the top boys stood out in red. W 1765 of the year, the fashion from Western Europe for uniforms in more serious colors entered, because navy blue.
