FAQ:

Do children in a democratic school pass exams, like children in home education?

Children attending a democratic school in Poland are, by law, children in home education. Our students take exams on the core curriculum at the school indicated by us. We cooperate in this matter with the Kangaroo School in Kraków and with the community gymnasium in Zabierzów. In special cases also with other schools, for example with Salomon in Warsaw.

Where is the school located?

Nasza szkoła mieści się w starym domu z ogrodem przy ulicy Zielnej na Starych Dębnikach w Krakowie.

What does the board look like?

We use catering. Every day we come to balanced meals made of ecological ingredients. A meat version is available, vegetarian and vegan. The children decide for themselves, are they eating, what they eat - and how much. They often buy their own snacks at a local store.

How much is school?

The proposed monthly tuition fee is 850 PLN. In justified cases, it is subject to negotiation. In the school year 2015/2016 food costs should be added to the cost of tuition (ok. 200 PLN / month)

What is the day at school like?

We learn and spend time at school according to the rules established jointly by children and mentors. Generally children do, what do they want, many of them are just resting after their transition to system schools, and we are watching, we accompany and when necessary we suggest some ideas. We have school community meetings.

How many children are studying at school?

He is studying with us at the moment 12 students aged from 6 do 15 Years. Most of them are older children. In the next school year, we would like to invite more younger children to school, beginning their adventure with school.
