The study was published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. It took part in the six-month survey 1685 middle-aged women and men. Turned out, that those who led “nutritional journals” they lost twice as much weight as these, who did not write down the daily menu. – For these, who are trying to get rid of unnecessary weight, simply writing down what they eat and drink is a very helpful technique – told Reuters Victor Stevens of the Kaiser Permanentes Center for Health Research in Portland. Keeping such a diary helps you see where the extra calories are coming from and make more detailed plans to eliminate them – Stevens added. Thanks to this, nutritionists are fully aware of this, what they eat.

– Such a journal does not have to be official. It is enough to make short notes on post-it notes, sending yourself e-mails or text messages – Dr. Keith Bachman explained, who also oversaw the study.
