Awards, what the film has achieved – Polish-Russian War.
"Polish-Ruthenian war under the white and red flag" premiered in 2009 gained great popularity among Polish viewers, it has also been repeatedly analyzed by film critics. The film based on Dorota Masłowska's book of the same title was also a huge literary success. A good book and an interesting movie brought a satisfying effect. The success of the film is confirmed by numerous awards for its creators.
Director, Xawery Zulawski, was awarded many times, receiving awards both in the country, as well as abroad:
– 2009 Cracow, Audience Award at the International Festival of Independent Cinema OFF Plus Camera.
– 2009 Tarnow, Kino RP Special Award for “artistic translation of Dorota Masłowska's prose into the language of contemporary cinema” as the Tarnów Film Award.
– 2009 Lagow, Organizers' Award. Juliusz Burski at the Lubuskie Film Summer.
– 2009 Torun, Special Mention for the best director in the International Competition at the TofiFest International Film Festival.
– 2009 Wrocław, Film Award in the competition “New Polish Cinema” at the International Film Festival “Era of New Horizons”.
– 2009 Gdynia, Silver Lions at the Polish Film Festival.
– 2010 Passport “policy”, the cultural award of the weekly “Politics” in the category: film for “authorial and revealing screening, and at the same time close to the spirit of the original novel. For a virtuoso work formally, intelligent, fun and thought provoking”.
– 2010 nominated in the category: the best director for the Eagle – Polish Film Award.

In addition to the director, the performances of the actors were also appreciated, created by Borys Szyc playing the role of the main trackman named Silny and Sonia Bohosiewicz (supporting role) playing Nata, very characteristically played friend of the main character, associated with a passion for snorting powdered soups.
