The book, devoted to Michelangelo, is bound with a carved marble plaque, and the entire edition will count only 99 copies. One costs 100 thousand. euro. Italian text, m.in. with the biography of Michelangelo with “Lives of the most famous painters, sculptors and architects” Giorgio Vasariego, printed on vellum (delicate, soft, smooth paper) ink prepared according to Renaissance recipes, no chemicals added. As Flaminio Gualdoni assures, scientific director of the publishing houses of the Italian group FMR, specializing in luxurious editions in the field of art, such ink will survive “500 and more years” and will not fade. Book “Michelangelo. The learned hand” (Michelangelo. A learned hand) includes an introduction by Antonio Paolucci, director of the Vatican Museums. The book's binding is decorated with a marble plaque set against a red silk velvet background. It is a handwritten copy of Michelangelo's first work, “Madonna at the stairs”. The artist made it from Carrara marble with just a 15 years and kept it to himself. Book – closed – has dimensions 68 on 42 cm. It counts 264 pages, with engravings, photos and texts. The whole thing weighs 24 Kg. The production cycle of such a book is “three to six months” – said Antonio Pistilli, head of the French branch of FMR.

Done 20 copies, a dozen are in production. One was bought by the Prado Museum in Madrid, two – rock stars.
