The twins, arrested in connection with a spectacular theft of jewelry from a famous Berlin department store, you had to slow down, because the suspects could not be distinguished – the public prosecutor's office in Berlin said. – According to the evidence, at our disposal, at least one of the brothers was involved in the break-in, but it was impossible to tell, which – explained in the communication. At the end of January, value jewelery was stolen from the famous KaDeWe department store 5 million euros. The perpetrators managed to fail to activate the alarm system. Admittedly, traces of DNA were found at the scene of the crime, but – as explained by the prosecutor's office – “in identical twins it is almost identical” i “with the current state of knowledge” the suspects were indistinguishable. The police could not find out, whether one of the brothers was involved in the break-in, or both. It follows from the footage recorded by CCTV cameras, that at least three masked men had committed a spectacular break-in. The third suspect was not caught. Brothers aged 27 years were arrested in February near the town of Rotenburg in Lower Saxony. In Malaysia in February, for very similar reasons, the twins avoided the death penalty for drug trafficking.

The judge refused to pass the sentence, and the police were unable to establish, which of the brothers was guilty.
