The flag of China
The flag of the People's Republic of China is presented very simply, but at the same time also an extremely symbolic way. Namely, there are five stars on a red background. One is larger than the other four. The stars are yellow and they contain all the symbolism of the Chinese flag. The red color symbolizes the revolution. Same stars, even though the flag is from 1 October 1949 year, have at least a few interpretations.
The first interpretation points to this, that a large star and four smaller ones clustered around it, testifies to China's integrity. Theoretically, the large star symbolizes the Chinese Communist Party, while the smaller ones are faithful to it. Other people say, that each star is a symbol of one of the five major ethnic groups. Among them are the Tibetans, Manchus, Mongols, as well as Han Chinese and Uighurs.
There is also a special flag, which is used by the ground forces in the Chinese army. It is also shown on a red background on a scale 3 do 2. There is an asterisk in the upper left corner, which is quite large in size. However, four stars are missing here, present on the national flag. Instead, there are three dash-shaped characters. The first one is tilted from right to left, while the other is the other way around. The third dash looks like a simple dash. Unfortunately, it is not known, what such signs are meant to symbolize exactly.
