Left-handed people earn more, but they live shorter
The theory of evolution predicts, that genes, that don't help us survive, are gradually removed from our genome. So it was left-handedness, characteristic of the vast minority of people, it gave them some advantage over the right-handed majority? The latest reports by French scientists indicate, that yes. Being left-handed has many advantages. Old times, using the left hand in the fight allowed to surprise the opponent. According to scientists from Montpellier, the same is true today. Left-handedness is an asset, bo? rarely occurs in 5 do 25 proc. population in different regions of the world. Still unknown, what genes determine left-handedness, but partial heredity is no longer in doubt. We find left-handers more than average more often among children with a high IQ or people with high musical or mathematical skills.. It also turns out, that left-handed men earn more than right-handed men on average. However, their higher status comes at a cost – they live shorter on average, which is probably due to the greater number of accidents in the right-handed world.
