The Swiss are ready to give up cars

Above 80 percent of the Swiss are willing to make sacrifices and bear higher costs, to contribute to the fight against climate change – according to a poll published by the Swiss daily “Sunday look”. In fact 88 percent of respondents say, that it is ready to work personally to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which leads to global warming. 85 one percent agree to use alternative energy sources or switch to more expensive fuel than the one currently used, a 81 percentage declares, that they can go without a car more often.

68 percent of the Swiss are willing to use planes less frequently, a 63 percent – pay some sum to fight climate change, if they already have to use air transport.

The study of the Isomar institute was included in the days 31 January – 3 February 1001 people.
