How to prepare for a marathon
Preparation for the marathon
Many runners dream about it, to start a full marathon in the future. He counts 42 kilometers according to tradition and it is certainly an incredibly difficult distance, also called death distance, because in antiquity, in line with the story, marathon runner, who ran 42 kilometres, to announce the good news to the ruler, He died. It's not that bad though. However, only healthy people can take part in the marathon, who have prepared for it properly, and if they haven't, they will certainly not manage to run such a murderous distance and will give up after a few, several kilometers.
You definitely shouldn't be ready to run the entire marathon right away. First, it is worth taking part in the so-called half marathons, which are organized much more often. The half marathon counts 21 Kilometers. It is about 2 hours of run for a non-advanced runner. The marathon usually takes about 4 hours for a person, who prepared herself, just to run a marathon, and not necessarily break any records associated with it.
Of course, the most important thing in preparation is running. You should gradually increase your distance. You can start with 5 km and so run for a month every other day. After a month or two (depending on our condition, the preparation period can be extended) we increase to 10, then to 15, 20, until we are able to run the full distance like in a marathon.
