The teacher interrupted his sleep – demands compensation
16-A year-old Danbury, Connecticut high school student is claiming compensation for partial hearing loss, which happened during the lesson. A brutal mathematician dared to wake up a sleeping student, hitting the table loudly. It must have been a very boring math lesson. Vinicios Robacher was unable to resist the drowsiness engulfing him. He rested his head on the bench and fell asleep. Suddenly there was a bang. Teacher, Melissa Nadeau had to react and woke the sleeping student. Unfortunately, a hard hitting of the hand on the table turned out to be fraught with consequences. Vinicios' eardrum ruptures in his left ear and he has severely damaged hearing. Since the accident, which happened last December, Vinicios underwent long-term treatment. You may need surgery, to restore his hearing completely. The injured student's parents now want redress from the school authorities, Danbury Department of Education and City Council. – Many of us fell asleep in class and were awakened by the teacher. But here we are dealing with an unacceptable assault and a violation of personal inviolability – says Alan Barry, a lawyer representing a teenager. – My client is an exceptionally gifted young man. He is a talented computer scientist and works late. Probably that was the cause of the nap – the lawyer explains the boy's behavior.
