From a dream to an extraordinary project. Belgian last 11 years of his life he devoted to the deepest basin in the world. Belgian John Beernaerts is an engineer with passion – for years his hobby has been diving. 11 years ago, he decided to combine work and pleasure. How? It's just that, John's idea is to build a record-deep swimming pool. First, a project was needed, then a loan for an expensive construction. Once it has started, the construction took seven years and consumed 5 million euros. Fortunately, after the opening of the unique swimming pool, guests come together with diving equipment from all over the world. Nemo33, because that's what the pool is called, has a depth 33 meters. 2,5 a million liters of water is kept at a pleasant temperature 33 degrees Celsius. Everything is designed like this, to best recreate the conditions of a tropical coral reef. – The plan was like this, to turn Brussels into the Bahamas – John said. Nemo33 is prepared not only for the arrival of avid divers. You can also admire this unique structure from the bar and restaurant built at the bottom of the pool. Through the windows you can watch divers exploring the depths of Nemo33. Beernaerts already has its own regular customers who visit Nemo33 at least once a week. – It's like a sauna or yoga. All problems disappear in an hour – says the proud owner.
