In order to reduce the waiting time in lines for toilets on airplanes, it is foreseen to install individual urinals next to standard toilets – informs “The Daily Telegraph”. Specially designed, by the German company Dassel, urinal stands are to be installed in most passenger planes. A Dassel representative announces, that the project will be ready for implementation in commercial aviation next year. However, it has not been reported so far , which airlines have shown interest in the project. A similar solution has been used in military aircraft for some time. Mentioned advantages of this type of amenities, they are not only saving water, but also less footprint. An additional argument in favor of urinals is the research results showing , that the majority of air passengers are male.
