Setback: The police mistook the tomatoes for… marijuana!

Failure can be embarrassing… The policemen broke down the door of this house and rushed into the house, guns in hand and dogs ready to point out where the drugs were hidden. Everything theoretically yes, as it should be, except that, that there was no marijuana in the house, only… tomatoes. Usually, when the police crash into a house or apartment, we can be sure, that it is a hideout for criminals. This time, however, someone made a very serious mistake. An old lady who grows tomatoes on window sills was mistaken for dangerous criminals, living in the British town of Shieldaig. Why? Police mistook her tomatoes for a marijuana plantation! Living with her son Gus, Lulu Matheson is still shocked. Thinking, that they will arrest dangerous criminals, officers prepared and carried out an attack on the Matheson house. Law enforcement did not even consider the subtle methods – a special commando unit rushed into the house with their weapons ready to fire. Police officers arrested Mrs. Matheson, her son, two dogs and… Gus' nephew, who, intrigued by the police cars in front of the house, decided to check what was going on.

– I was terribly scared. I couldn't understand what they were doing, I knew it, there were only tomatoes on the window – said Mrs. Matheson. When the policemen examined the samples taken and it turned out, they really are tomatoes, all those arrested were released. Despite such a huge mistake, Mrs. Matheson did not get a single apology, no explanation. The local police representative only confirms, that the action took place. – We admit, that a police action took place at this address. No illegal substances were found on the spot – a police spokesman said in a laconic statement. The Mathesons have already lodged a complaint and a request for explanations.
