Gasoline is more expensive? Then I will give it away for free!

Gasoline for free! – any driver will respond to this password. The owner of a gas station in Gorizia on the border between Italy and Slovenia decided to give away the fuel for free… in protest against the increases. The action was enthusiastically received by the drivers – chaos reigned in the streets. Total chaos in the streets of Gorizia ensued on Monday, when the owner of the local gas station started giving away fuel free of charge. Thus, he protested against the decision to abolish the sale of gasoline after the special, lower prices, which were in force in this border town. Station owners argue, that now, after equating prices with all of Italy, residents of Gorizia and the surrounding area will buy fuel on the Slovenian side, where it is much cheaper. Within an hour, the drivers refueled at the station 1000 liters of gasoline for free, and the line to her – when news of it spread throughout the city, what's happening – it went on for miles. The situation was monitored on the spot by the mayor and several councilors. The next such protest is to take place on Friday and other gas stations will join it.
