The patient anesthetized himself – for free

A well-known British hypnotist hypnotized himself before the procedure! Thanks to this, he felt no pain at all – he could hear bones breaking. Everyone in their life will come into contact with the operating room. Most of us are expecting, that an anesthetic will be used before the procedure. It turns out, that it is not so obvious to everyone. Alex Lenkey, resident of Worthing, he was suffering from arthritis in his right hand. Doctors decided to undergo surgery for the 61-year-old. They were going to anesthetize him routinely, just like any other patient. Lenkei, however, did not allow himself to be anesthetized with drugs. He decided to relieve the anesthesiologist and anesthetized himself. He did it in a very original way – he put himself into hypnosis. It took about a minute. After entering the state of hypnosis, the patient felt, That “falls into a deep relaxation”. Throughout the operation, the anesthesiologist was on standby at any time to administer the drug. However, it was not necessary. Lenkei is a registered hypnotist, already practicing 45 Years. – I was fully aware of it, what is happening around me. I heard people talking, as well as surgical instruments, hacksaw and hammer – says the brave Brit. And he adds another:

– I felt no pain for it. I felt, that something was happening to my bones, then I heard them breaking. The doctor who performed the operation confirmed the patient's opinion, that the operation went very well.
