Soap opera to gatunek filmowy szczególnie popularny wśród kobiet. Na ogół telenowela postrzegana jest jako historia miłości od pierwszego wejrzenia, facing enormous difficulties. However, it always ends happily - usually with the marriage of the main characters. On the other hand, evil characters receive well-deserved punishment, justice and good prevail. A characteristic feature of this genre is also the great piety of the main characters.

This species, despite the fact that it is criticized by many, it has a large crowd of fans. Why are soap operas so eagerly watched?? You could say, that they are a great source of entertainment. The viewer watching the beautiful scenery, in which romantic threads take place, dreams of experiencing such a story. He is emotionally involved, sympathizes with the heroes and is moved with them. The group of the most popular soap operas broadcast in Poland includes, among others: „Otchłań namiętności”, the action of which takes place in a traditional Mexican village. It is full of intrigue in love, surprising twists and turns, as well as the longed-for happy ending. There are also famous titles: „Paloma”, „Luz Maria”, „Nie igraj z aniołem”. However, the biggest hit was the soap opera "Rebel Angel", starring Natalia Oreiro and Facundo Arana.
