How to make vinegar pumpkins
To prepare a pumpkin in vinegar, we need to start by washing and cleaning two kilograms of pumpkin. Then, cut the pumpkins into fairly thick cubes. It is best to use soft pumpkin flesh, although other passages are also applicable, only they will require longer cooking.
Pour a glass of water into the pot, one and a half glasses of vinegar and 75 day of sugar. Then we put the sliced pumpkin there and start to simmer it. We cook until the moment, when the pumpkin turns slightly translucent. Stir the boiling pumpkins from time to time, so that the sugar can dissolve better and combine with the rest of the ingredients. Then strain it and put it in jars. Pour hot syrup over the jars and tighten them tightly.
Store ready-made preserves in a dark and cool place. This recipe can be freely modified with various types of spices. Herbs are an interesting addition, thyme, basil or coriander. They enrich the flavor and add some spiciness.
Pumpkins prepared in this way can be served with meat dishes. It tastes best with game dishes.
