The weirdest events of the year 2008 according to the German police

Funny, unusual, Our neighbors across the Oder had strange and VERY strange problems in the past year. The German police bravely face even the most extraordinary challenges, and some of them are described by dpa. Here is a subjective choice!

1. There is boundless trust among drivers in omniscient satellite navigation devices. In Lower Saxony, policemen came to the aid of the taxi driver, who got stuck in the mud, because he has programmed a route for himself … for a pedestrian.

2. There's also a police record on a 19-year-old, which – obedient to satellite navigation instructions – entered the Weser without waiting, a ferry will land all the way to the quay. I, ten GPS…

3. He put the police on alert near Hanover… calling dog. Quadruped “he borrowed” his owner's cell phone and accidentally dialed a lady's number, living near Hamburg. The woman was so scared, hearing panting and squeaking in the earpiece, that she alerted the police.

4. The police in Hessen rubbed their eyes in amazement, seeing the towns of Gross-Zimmern rushing through the streets… swivel office chair, on which the 17-year-old sat. Turned out, that the young tinkerer equipped this chair with a mower motor and bicycle brakes.

5. There is also an entrepreneurial 5-year-old in Hesse, who really wants to be a policeman, he decided to exercise and put it on for mom … handcuffs. Unfortunately, he couldn't take them off afterwards. Not reported, where he got the handcuffs, it is known, however, that she was chained with them, my mother had to ask the real policemen, to set her free.

6. In Buesum in Schleswig-Holstein, a group of schoolgirls made such intensive use of deodorants at a youth hostel, that it triggered … fire alarm. The girls were a bit surprised, when three fire trucks and three police cars arrived at the shelter with a roar of sirens.

7. The Bavarian police had a lot of trouble with a quarrelsome couple. At the beginning of the year, my wife threw her husband out of the house due to the frost, suspecting him of treason. The man was barefoot and undressed to the waist. It's freezing, asked the police for help. One of the officers lent him a T-shirt, sweater and jacket. The man returned home, but the spouse did not give up. She threw her husband back outside, this time in socks. The policemen helped again, lending the unfortunate shoes.

8. The sight of two men with a pram at four in the morning aroused the suspicions of the policemen from Saxony. Turned out, that there was, fortunately, no child inside the stroller – Instead, it was loaded with electronic equipment, stolen from several kindergartens. The cart was also stolen.
