He tried to hide 200 kg of pork knuckle behind the car seat
Above 200 kg of ham and pork knuckle was tried to take away from Poland by a Russian, who was stopped by customs officers at the Polish-Russian border crossing in Gronów. The meat was hidden in a specially prepared hiding place behind the seat of the delivery truck. To get to the hiding place, it was necessary to unscrew the backrest of the chair. When the customs officers opened the hiding place, they found black plastic bags filled with meat. In fact, it was almost there 208 kg of ham with pork knuckle. The district veterinarian and the police were informed about the washing of the meat. The meat will be disposed of, because it did not have health marks. Customs say, that a ban on the legal export of Polish meat and meat products to Russia, caused the phenomenon “private import” of these goods by the citizens of Russia.
