Ladybird, Ladybird

Ladybird, Ladybird

Ladybug, ladybird, hurry home,
Because your house can burn down and so can your children.
(An old English rhyme for children)

Never, never kill a ladybug, because it will inevitably bring you bad luck.

If the ladybug sits on you, when you are sick, it will take the disease with it when it flies away.

Ladybird, which belongs to the beetle family, appeared on the ground by lightning. This is what an Old Norwegian legend says. Ladybug was associated with the goddess of love and beauty.

Looks like it, that there is some mysterious empathy between children and ladybugs. Children tend to talk to ladybugs, expecting an answer.
