Cat and wedding dress, what people leave on the trains?
Money, shoes, and even cricket bats and a wedding dress – these are just some items, forgotten by passengers on trains. British railroad company CrossCountry has published a list of the weirdest things found by its employees in 2008 year. All in all, the list includes as many as 6 thousands of items. The umbrellas are up ”only” in the third place of the most forgotten things. Mobile phones and books were ranked first and second. Among the less popular lost is, among others. in. a kitten named Holly, Fortunately, thanks to the help of railway workers, it was returned to its owner. On the other hand, the owner of the bag with banknotes worth 30 thousand. pounds is still wanted. – People drop all kinds of items on the trains. This year we found m. in. stroller, shoes, luxury handbags, cricket bats, and even a wedding dress – says Andy Cooper, CrossCountry representative. – We always advise passengers to check before leaving the train, whether they had left their belongings on or near the seat – he adds.
