Another movie, which, apart from my reflections, can be viewed legally online. The Troublesome Man is something on the verge of the Orwellian Year 1984, a drama film? You can also associate with the Truman Show. The production puts the main character in a very unusual situation. Namely, it lands in a city, and it is not very clear why, his life is pretty arranged - good job, money, dom, woman.
Although it can be interpreted, we do not clearly explain why the main character ended up in this strange place. At the outset, everyone greets him, all his life is ready. He doesn't really know what's going on, same as the viewer. He gets a job, people bow to him like good friends, car, dom, beautiful women. You might think, everything like in a dream life. Is it really? The main character is most likely dead and found himself.. Exactly, this is paradise, purgatory or rather hell? The new environment is seemingly great, however, something is bothering him, all this has no taste for him. Jens Lien's film can certainly be interpreted in many ways, although that didn't interest me too much. The most interesting thing was to watch a man put in such abstract situations.
The Norwegian-Icelandic production is one of the most surprising films I have watched this year. The Troublesome Man is not very popular in our country, the number of ratings on a certain movie portal is not too plentiful. I did not find reviews on blogs either.
At first, in my opinion, The Troublesome Man was situated a little lower. Where did the greater conviction come from? The production is unusual, and it is very difficult to find such, that would be really good. According to me, in this case the experiment was successful. It is not a masterpiece, of course not. It is simply a sensational film in the category of delicate abstraction. This image stands out in the crowd of other productions. Luckily, it is not done by force. I recommend.
