Little Caesar - review

Little Caesar - review

Film Mervyna Leroya (producer and director of The Wizard of Oz, 1939), based on the novel by W.. R. Burnett. The first American gangster-themed sound production. Prostrations for Wikipedia, Poles who add information - Little Ceasar is described in 6 languages, including in our native. Unfortunately, only one sentence, however I am glad, that someone thought of him. “Little Caesar” is very good for a precursor in its class, otherwise he is so-so,. It is not a mature cinema(I have requirements). City Lights - production from the same year. So, the genre is completely different, however, the substantive part is far superior to Little Caesar.

Direction: Mervyn LeRoy
Scenario: Robert Lord, Darryl F. Zanuck and the hymns
Release date(world): 1931
Type: Gangster
Starring:
Edward G. Robinson: Little Caesar aka 'Rico'
Douglas Fairbanks: Jr. Joe Massara

The title character is a man with ambitions to become the greatest gangster. He goes with his friend to a big city, to meet your goals. I must praise Edward G.. Robinson playing Little Caesar, because he really put himself into the roles. Actually, he was that character.
On the technical side. Despite his early years, the sound is ok, watching completely normally. Plot, that is, the left leg of the movie. Rather no flaws, advantages even less. Our main character's career is too naive at times. Relationships between the heroes, they are what we would imagine at the pre-school stage. Fortunately, this is sporadic. As for the advantages, I like the theme of friendship, it is made at a very good level. I will add one more. Overall surprise, there was no surprise. Already so out of habit, I am thinking about ending the movie. Little Caesar did not show me anything new, unfortunately.

The scene where the gangster is walking down the street, a car drives over and starts shooting at it. Classic, just like this production. You can watch, is short(79 minutes) and it's good to watch. It is a simple movie, easy to pick up. Something just right, when we want to get to know great cinema, and we are after 12 working hours.

I take care of little Caesar 9 1st in the gangster category for the best American movies of all time.

Pros:
– this is not a silent movie
– the role of the main character

Minuses:
– not so good today

Rating: 6/10 – nice
