Scream for me is a movie like any other, nor am i not a fan, nor an opponent. The picture was fine for me, although some scenes seemed quite funny at first. I would not define this production as Horror, it's just a good thriller. There is too much blood at times, which gives the impression of kitsch, while a movie can create tension.
If I had to compare The Scream to the great master of cinema Alfred Hitchcock, I wouldn't have a chance. Production from years 90 it has its own unique atmosphere, while the cinema from lat 50-60 can do the same with the viewer, and sometimes more, so where's the progress? Nevertheless, you can watch it, can still surprise you.

You know, that he wouldn't stand a chance with Hitchcock's films, but from what I remember, and I saw him quite a long time ago, The "scream" impressed me. Keeps you in suspense, it can scare you at times, and there was also a lot of humor. I think, it's a horror, because real horror is meeting a murderer, and the most frightening is the moment, when we find out, that someone is the murderer, who we know well, with whom we go to the same school. In my opinion, this is a very good horror movie, which is also a pastiche of this genre. The director breaks the patterns, and the screenwriter has created a gallery of interesting characters. And it's hard to predict the ending, which is also a big advantage of the movie.
