Invasion of the Body Snatchers - review

Invasion of the Body Snatchers - review

For science fiction cinema from the 1950s, Invasion of the Body Snatchers keep the level. The effects are not the worst, the storyline makes sense, and the main characters use their minds. But does this movie really have something nice to offer?? Personally, I had an impression from the beginning, that I will not see anything new. It's hard to be surprised, since more than half a century has already passed. Although the cinema fan knows - an old movie can surprise you. Invasion of the body snatchers, unfortunately not. Body Snatchers did not fascinate me completely, the title reveals the main plot without reading the description. I watched the productions, it's not very interesting, however, I am careful, it's a good movie.

Virginia Christine: Wilma Lentz

In the introduction, I couldn't get enough of what it was about. Someone shows up all the time, then he leaves and until the end it was not known what was going on. After a while, however, everything becomes clear. The tension this movie creates, it was definitely bigger at the time of the premiere. There is also now, Certainly smaller, but it is not a sleeper. The film tells the story of how people behave in the face of a great unknown threat. Body Snatchers have some under-tightening, but in general, everything is well related to each other. We will come to watch the journey, which the main character must go through during these strange events. As I already wrote, the way the character behaves is good. When they see the danger, they react like adults, and not, as is sometimes the case in movies, in a completely absurd way - blatanting the viewer., let's remember this year 1956. It's quite ok, should not offend us, and if we are a little understanding, we will come to a conclusion, that for such conditions they are very good.

In general, or is it a production with something more, than just an original meeting with an alien civilization? I don't think so. There is no timelessness for me in this, only well-done cinema from distant years. I am pleased with its maturity, which I still miss many productions. I don't know if I didn't like "The day earth stood still" a bit more (this version of 50 year). I do not regret the time devoted to this title, but i wouldn't have flew it with this, who would like to start their adventure with classic cinema.

The Invasion of the Body Snatchers is taking care of 9 1st in the science fiction category for the best American movies of all time.

Pros:
– great for its time
– solidly wound up

Minuses:
– aliens and so what?

Rating: 6/10 – nice
