Make friends at school, you will earn more
It's worth having a lot of friends at school. Because it pays off later – say researchers at the University of Essex, England. Without playing gentlemen, they converted their friendship … on money. Scientists have calculated, that every friendship in school means two percent more earnings 30 years later. Scientists developed this formula based on data collected in the United States. Children were asked there half a century ago, to name their closest school friends. Then at regular intervals, for several dozen years, the activities of the respondents were studied, noting, inter alia, the amount of their earnings. Scholars have also established, that being popular in school, later, helps people adjust to teamwork. And this too, that people from well-to-do families are not liked more in the classroom, than their poorer peers.
