Louis XVI
Louis XVI was also called Louis the Last. He was born in Versailles 1754 year exactly 23 of August. Instead, he died 21 January 1793 year in Paris. He became the king of France and held this honorable function from 1774 do 1791 year.
Louis XVI was from the Bourbon dynasty, because his father was Louis Ferdinand Bourbon, and her mother was Maria Józefa Wettyn. Interestingly, he was also the great-grandson of the king of Poland - Stanisław Leszczyński. Unfortunately, he did not have an easy time to rule. He sowed the throne at a very difficult time and in France's poor economic situation. In connection with, he was pressed by the people, to improve their well-being, but of course at nobody's expense.
Society demanding the virtually impossible had an effect anyway, that the king of France began to carry out various reforms. To this end, he even led the States General to meet, the last of which was almost two centuries earlier. The king considered introducing extraordinary taxes. Such steps were supposed to definitely improve the situation of the country. Of course, when it comes to higher taxes in layers: clergy, bourgeoisie, and also the nobility, he met with melancholy opposition. Some wanted to raise additional money from others, as long as he could survive the rigorous reforms himself.
