The city has preserved numerous monuments: St-Caprais Cathedral (Romanesque choir and transept from the 12th century, gothic nave from the 13th century, chapter house from the 12th century. with carved capitals), two-nave Jacobin church (XIII w., gothic wall paintings), church of St-Hilaire (XV w.), Kaplice Notre-Dame-du-Bourg (XIII—XV w.) and Ste-Foy (XIV c.) and numerous old houses (m. in. Sénéchal House, XIII w.). Municipal Museum (in buildings from the 16th century) has a valuable collection of ancient art. (Venus from Mas) and painting (m. in. also some pictures of F. Support).
