Chiromancy

Chiromancy

Palmistry it, generally speaking, the art of palm reading to learn about the owner's personality, about his past and possibly the future. If you can use this art efficiently, then you will probably be able to learn a lot of interesting things. Chiromancy probably goes back to the Stone Age, though modern practice is based on concepts that come from India. They reached Europe via itinerant Gypsies, who have always argued, that thanks to their mysterious powers, they can predict the future (see Gypsies).

Here are some prominent characters who believe in palmistry: Alexander the Great, Eleanor Roosevelt, Aristotle, Balzac, Mark Twain, Pope Leo XIII.

Palmistry takes into account the shape of the hand, its size, the shape of the fingers and the lines and protrusions inside the hand.
