How to clean brass and copper items?
Lacquered brass is washed in warm soapy water, then rinsed and wiped dry. Unpainted brass should be cleaned with a proprietary cleaner specifically designed for brass and copper – small parts can be cleaned with an old toothbrush. In heavily soiled areas, a piece of lemon dipped in salt will be effective, after that, you must always wash the brass with hot soapy water. For a longer lasting brass shine, try car body silicone wax paste or marble polishing powder.
