Extremely unlucky driver from Zabrze
63-Within an hour, summer Zabrze caused two road accidents on the same street. After knocking over the second person, he ran away. When he was going to the police to investigate, he smashed his head against a lighting pole and was taken to the hospital. Marek Wypych, a spokesman for the Zabrze police, informed about an unprecedented case and an exceptionally unlucky driver. On Monday before. 11 in Zabrze at ul. 3 Maja, a 63-year-old driver of a polonaise truck, ran down a 78-year-old woman on a pedestrian crossing. The driver was sober and had a valid driving license. – After less than an hour, upon termination of policing, the man continued his journey. After driving about a kilometer on the same street, he again ran into a pedestrian. As in the previous case, the victim – which was a 73-year-old resident of Zabrze – was hit at a pedestrian crossing – Wypych said. The perpetrator of the accident did not stop this time, to help the victim, decided to run away. After a few hours, the policemen knew, who is the perpetrator of the second accident. The man in the telephone conversation stated, that he does not remember the second deduction and will report to the Zabrze police station in a moment to clarify the matter.
He came to the police with a broken head. He told the cops, that when he was walking down the sidewalk he hit a lantern. Because he informed, that he has had two strokes in the past and two heart attacks, the officers asked the ambulance service for help. The doctor decided that the man was taken to hospital. Both of the knocked down victims are already at home. Research in the hospital showed only general injuries. It is not known, however, when the perpetrator of both incidents leaves the hospital.
