Alix yves (1890—1969)

Alix yves (1890—1969), painter and graphic artist. He studied in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts (1908) and Académie Ransonl Together with M.. Denisem designed decorations for the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (1912). Originally it was influenced by cubism, later developed his own style, close to expressionism, characterized by a massive form and dark color. From approx. 1939 lightened the palette and introduced a lighter form. He created figural compositions (acts, portraits), landscapes, upholstery designs and murals.
