Virgin Maria Huarcaya Palomino was due to give birth on Thursday. On Christmas Eve, however, it turned out, that she would not be able to spend that day with her family – labor started the day before. 24 of December, ideally on Christmas Eve, the Virgin Mary gave birth to a son. To celebrate this unique coincidence, Maria named her son Jesus. It's not over yet – the father of the child and Maria's husband, Adolfo, he is a carpenter by profession, just like Saint Joseph is traditionally. – I am very happy, that I gave birth on such a special day. I did not think, that it will be today – my mother said. Maria owes her unusual name to her grandfather. It was he who chose unusual names for her. The woman admits, that until the birth of baby Jesus she did not like them. Now that the baby was born, she must have changed her mind. – At school, the kids made fun of me – Maria admits.
