Especially during the holidays, TV likes to return to series such as "Noce i dnie", based on an extensive novel by Maria Dąbrowska of the same title. Jerzy Antczak made a feature film and a series was created on its basis. The TV version of Maria Dąbrowska's reading is an exact screen adaptation. The series remained in the viewers' memory for many years. Unforgettable outfits were created by Jadwiga Barańska as Barbara Niechcic and Jerzy Bińczycki as Bogumił Niechcic. In addition to them, we can see stars like: Beata Tyszkiewicz, Jan Englert, George Kamas, Stanisława Celinska, Karol Strasburger i inni.
The series was broadcast on TV for the first time in February 1978 year, three years after the screening of the cinema version of the history of the Niechciców state. The series consisted of twelve episodes, and the famous scene with collecting water lilies remains in mass memory, Barbara is reminded of her all her life. Waltz, being the leitmotif of the scene, is a famous piece by Waldemar Kazanecki, for which the musician received many awards. This is the most beautiful musical theme in the history of Polish cinema.
